Our\u00a0<strong>Teaching Assistant Program<\/strong>\u00a0is designed for individuals who are excited to learn the art of early childhood teaching in a supportive, hands-on environment \u2014 at their own pace &#8211; while working toward becoming a Tutu School teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teaching Assistants work alongside our experienced Lead Teachers during some of our busiest classes and events, gaining real-world experience with young dancers, classroom management, lesson flow, and the magic of teaching ballet to little ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What you&#8217;ll do:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist the Lead Teacher in creating a fun, positive, and engaging class environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help young dancers participate, follow directions, and feel successful<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with props, activities, music, and transitions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help prepare and reset the studio before and after class<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support classroom organization and cleanliness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn how to manage the unique needs and energy of early childhood classes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Observe and learn from experienced Tutu School teachers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gradually take on more teaching responsibilities as your skills develop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who we&#8217;re looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basic dance experience required <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliable, energetic, patient, and eager to learn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfortable being silly, playful, and enthusiastic!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous childcare, assisting, education, camp, coaching, or classroom experience is a plus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interested in growing into a future Tutu School teaching role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Compensation:<\/strong><br>$10\u2013$15\/hour after completion of basic training, depending on experience and responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The goal:<\/strong><br>This isn&#8217;t simply an assistant position \u2014 it&#8217;s an opportunity to\u00a0<strong>learn the Tutu School way from the inside out.<\/strong>\u00a0Teaching Assistants who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a natural connection with young dancers may have the opportunity to progress into our\u00a0<strong>Tutu Teacher training program<\/strong>\u00a0and ultimately become a Lead Teacher.
