Tutu School Brentwood Turns 6: Look How Far We’ve Come!

This month, Tutu School Brentwood is celebrating our 6th anniversary, and we can’t help but look back at where it all began—and just how far we’ve come.

Six years ago, we opened the doors to Tutu School Brentwood during a time none of us could have imagined. Opening a new ballet school is an adventure under any circumstances. Opening one during a global pandemic was something else entirely!

Our beginning may not have looked quite like the grand opening we once envisioned, but the heart of Tutu School was there from the very start: creating a magical place where children could move, imagine, build confidence, and experience the joy of ballet.

From a Pandemic Opening to a Thriving Brentwood Ballet Community

Those early days required a little extra creativity, flexibility, and a whole lot of hope. But slowly, our studio filled with more music, more tiny ballet slippers, more families—and, of course, more twirling.

And look at us now.

Over the past six years, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming so many Brentwood families through our doors. We’ve watched little dancers arrive for their very first ballet class, take the stage at their first Bravo Bash recital, celebrate birthdays with us, make new friends, and grow in confidence both inside and outside the studio.

Some dancers have grown up with us. Others have moved on to new adventures. And every family who has been part of Tutu School Brentwood has helped make our studio what it is today.

Six Years of Ballet, Imagination, and Magic

At Tutu School Brentwood, ballet has always been about more than learning steps. Our classes introduce children to the beauty of classical ballet while giving them space to use their imaginations, express themselves, and simply experience the joy of dancing.

From our tiniest dancers beginning their ballet journey to our older students developing their technique, it has been incredibly special to watch our Tutu School community grow year after year.

What started during one of the most uncertain times has become a joyful, thriving community filled with dancers, teachers, families, music, and so many wonderful memories.

As we celebrate six years, our biggest feeling is gratitude.

Thank you to every family who trusted us with their little dancer—especially those who took a chance on a brand-new ballet studio during those unusual early days. Thank you to our teachers, past and present, who have brought the magic of Tutu School to life each week. And thank you to the Brentwood community for allowing us to be part of so many childhood memories.
