Teacher Raven
Favorite Ballet Storytime Story
My favorite ballet storytimes are The Nutcracker and Swan Lake! I love imagining myself twirling through the Land of Sweets like the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Favorite Ballet Step
My favorite ballet step to perform on stage is pique turns. However, when I’m in class, I especially love our Princess Ballet Walks! They make our dancers feel like they are stepping into a fairytale of their very own
Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?
My favorite animal inspiration is something that was taught to me and that I now get to teach to our dancers: the cat for pas de chat! We like to call it the “Walk of the Cat,” because our dancers leap through the air just like playful, graceful cats.
Favorite Thing About Teaching at Tutu School
My favorite thing about teaching at Tutu School is watching each dancer grow—not only in their ballet skills, but also in their confidence, creativity, and friendships with one another. There is something so special about helping dancers discover a love for movement, express themselves, and grow alongside their fellow dancers.
