Terms of service
I am the parent or legal guardian of the child listed above, and I have authority to sign agreements and make decisions on the child’s behalf.
I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tutu School, Tutu School Franchises, all Tutu School franchised locations, all camps and programs associated with these entities, and their officers, contractors, and employees (collectively “Tutu School”), from and against any and all liability for any injury, contraction of an infectious disease or virus, or death which may be suffered by me or my child, arising out of, or in any way connected with participation in programs at Tutu School. In case of emergency, my child may be treated by a qualified physician.
I agree not to bring my child to Tutu School class or camp if either of us is sick or is suspected of carrying an infectious disease or virus. Tutu School may ask my child health questions if my child exhibits any signs or symptoms of being unwell at any time during the program.
I understand that there may be video or photographs taken of my child during their class, and I grant permission for this media to be used in faculty training and/or promotional advertising for Tutu School or Tutu School Franchises, without compensation. I waive all rights of publicity on behalf of my child in connection with the use of this media to promote Tutu School. I understand that I may speak to a Tutu School staff member and request that my child be excluded from any photographs or videos, and that I may request digital copies of any media in which my child appears that is used by Tutu School or Tutu School Franchises for promotional purposes.
In submitting this form I agree to pay any applicable tuition or fees. In the case of class membership, I will be charged the first payment today, and I understand that I am agreeing to enroll in a monthly automatically renewing subscription and monthly payments until I give notice to Tutu School of my desire to withdraw from the program/cancel. Such cancellation will be effective at the end of the current month and my enrollment will not automatically renew for the following month. I can cancel by contacting the Tutu School office or canceling in my Pirouette Portal.
In the case of a free-trial enrollment, no charge occurs, however I understand that my payment information may be requested and stored by Tutu School to hold my spot in the class. If I enroll in a class, membership will automatically renew as set forth above.
In the case of waitlist sign-up, no charge occurs, however I understand that my payment information may be requested and stored by Tutu School to be added to a waiting list.
Registration & payments are powered by Tutu School’s software partner, ClassBug. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, I also agree to abide by the ClassBug User TOS, which can be found here.

Please note that classes WILL be held as scheduled on Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Memorial Day. Please do not hesitate to contact the Tutu School office to schedule a make-up class if you are unable to attend your usual class.
Dress Tutu Code
Baby Ballet & Tutu Toddlers
Students in our youngest divisions are invited to wear any clothes that they can move easily in, and should take class with bare feet or rubber-soled socks if they do not have ballet slippers. Adults participating in these classes should also wear comfortable clothes and bare feet or rubber-soled socks.
Exploring Ballet & Primary Ballet Prep
Tutu School asks students in its older divisions to wear leotards or fitted shirts with tights or leggings and ballet slippers. Please tuck in all drawstrings on slippers, and secure long hair away from the face as much as possible. No specific color or style of dancewear is required, and tutus and skirts are absolutely permitted – naturally!
Frequently asked questions
We ask that all missed classes be made up while your child is still enrolled at Tutu School. We really strive to carefully manage the size of our classes and therefore are only able to reserve make-up spots for currently enrolled students.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer drop-ins because we need to be able to thoughtfully manage the size and composition of our classes, as well as our faculty’s schedule.
Membership fees are the same each month because they are the average monthly tuition, calculated based on the total number of classes in the year and with all breaks factored in.
Advantages to the monthly membership system include:
- More flexibility than when students are required to register for an entire session
- Smaller payment increments
- The convenience of not having to re-register many times throughout the year
If you have any questions about your specific situation, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we can review it with you. It is very important to us that all of our Tutu School families feel great about our membership system!
Unfortunately we are unable to put memberships on hold, as it may mean turning away another student who is able to enroll in your absence. Instead, we are happy to help you take advantage of our unlimited make-up classes, and to schedule make-up classes for your child before you leave, after you return, or both. If you prefer to cancel your membership, we will do everything we can to try and accommodate your re-enrollment when you return, as we would love to have your child continue dancing with us!
After signing up to join the waitlisted for a full class, you will receive a confirmation email with the details. You can expect to hear from us when a spot becomes available and instructions for enrolling to claim the spot from your dancer.
In the meantime, you are welcome to book a free trial and even enroll in another available class on the schedule and keep your spot on the waitlist for your preferred class day and time. You’ll hear from us as soon as a spot becomes available to confirm you’d like to transfer.
