Favorite Ballet Storytime Story
My favorite ballet from the tutu school curriculum has to be Swan Lake! The dance of the four little swans is one of my favorites and I got to perform it one time! The music and drama in Swan Lake is beautiful, and it is such a dreamy ballet!
Favorite Ballet Step
I love to teach Grande Jetes, or big leaps! It's a step that requires a lot of energy and power, as well as precision. It's also a very fun step to do and students love learning it for the first time!
Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?
I love to use the unicorn as my inspiration for animal freeze dance! It's a great way to practice our gallops and practicing pointing our feet when we jump! It's also so incredible to watch my students faces light up when they see one of their favorite animals to dance like!
Favorite Thing About Teaching at Tutu School
Tutu school is very unique in the way that it makes ballet fun and interactive for every student, no matter how old they are! From baby ballet to primary ballet, every student gets a chance to be a real ballerina and dance to music from the classical ballets, and also dance like their favorite animals.
