Top 5 Reasons to Enroll in Dance Classes in Elk Grove This Fall

Tutu School Elk Grove opened September 15th, and we are thrilled for you to be a part of the magic! With class levels designed for kids ages 6 months to 8 years old, we offer a wide range of classes suitable for your little one.

  1. Creativity

Dance is a wonderful creative outlet where our dancers can learn all about emotional expression. Storytime in particular is a special part of class dedicated to learning about a classic ballet each week. After reading about the ballet, dancers have the opportunity to dance out parts of the story through their own creative expression and imagination. Storytime is so important when it comes to creative expression because it teaches our dancers how to translate storytelling into movement. Our dancers learn how to express themselves as individuals, as well as how to express themselves like the characters we read about each week.

  1. Confidence

One way for our young children to build confidence both on (and off) the dance floor is through ballet. Routine is an important step in ballet and in building confidence because it allows our dancers to develop a sense of expectation through class structure. And with a consistent class structure, our dancers know what to expect each class! No matter what level your dancer is beginning at, our Tutu Teachers are there with our dancers every step of the way. From their very first ballet class to the moment they are performing on stage during our Bravo Bash recital, our teachers are always there to support our dancers and wherever they are on their dance journey.

  1. Community

Finding a sense of community is such an important aspect of childhood, and we are so honored to give our dancers (and caregivers!) a community to be a part of. There’s nothing quite like the magic of sharing a passion like dance with others, and being a part of Tutu School is no exception! With class levels structured by age, our dancers have the opportunity to bond with others their age. Likewise, caregivers have the opportunity to connect with one another and bond through similar experiences. Especially in our Baby Ballet and Tutu Toddlers levels — which require caregiver participation — caregivers have the opportunity to get to know each other in a class setting and further build a sense of community with one another each week.

  1. Physical Development

Ballet is a great active outlet for so many young kids. Not only is it a fun and magical activity here at Tutu School, but ballet also helps enhance flexibility and coordination. For any young kids that are developing a passion for music, singing, or of course twirling around the house, enrolling in dance classes is a great option. Maintaining an active lifestyle and sense of routine is such a valuable part of young kids’ well-being as they are growing and learning.

  1. Social Skills

Building social skills is an important skill, and what better place to build social skills then in an enjoyable and engaging environment! Being a part of a dance class encourages our dancers to learn teamwork and communication, which are all valuable skills that can be applied outside of the dance world, too.
