Favorite Ballet Storytime Story

My favorite ballet story from our curriculum would be Swan Lake. This story embraces many deep emotions, such as love and desire. I enjoy not only the music score, but the preciseness, gracefulness, and softness of the movements. From the articulation of the port de bras to the dance of the little swans scene brings the story to life.

Favorite Ballet Step

My go-to step that I love to teach is chaine turns. It helps dancers to learn how to spot while turning and becoming aware of where their body is located in a space.

Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?

My go-to animal inspiration during animal dances would be a cat. I incorporate the pas de chat (step of the cat) so dancers can imitate movements of a cat that involves springing up from the floor but also still learning a ballet step. It also helps with developing the skill to travel from high to mid levels simultaneously.

Favorite Thing About Teaching at Tutu School

Tutu School is special to me, because it allow little dancers and creators to explore their imagination while building motor skills, social skills, and self confidence in a dance space.
