Help Us Bring the Magic of Ballet to Prosper Tutu School Prosper is looking for a magic maker: a warm, energetic dance educator who can turn a ballet class into an imaginative adventure and help little dancers feel confident, capable, and celebrated. As our Principal Ballet Teacher, you’ll lead imaginative ballet classes, build trusting relationships with children and caregivers, and set the teaching standard for our school. As we grow, you’ll also help welcome, mentor, and develop additional teachers. For someone who wants meaningful part-time work, enjoys young children, and is ready to take ownership of the classroom experience, this role offers a chance to become an important part of something from the beginning. The Magic of Tutu School Tutu School is a collection of boutique ballet schools providing creative dance education for children ages 6 months to 8 years. Through ballet, classical music, and storytelling, we help children develop movement skills, exercise their imaginations, and discover the joy of dancing. We also offer camps and birthday party experiences for our little dancers. Our founding principle: Every child should know what it feels like to dance. What You’ll Do
  • Make every class magical. Lead 45-minute classes using Tutu School’s carefully crafted curriculum, bringing lessons to life through expressive storytelling, playful movement, and engaging demonstrations.
  • Support little dancers. Balance high energy with patience, clear routines, and age-appropriate expectations to create a safe, welcoming classroom.
  • Connect with families. Welcome children and caregivers, take attendance, answer basic membership questions, and communicate warmly and professionally.
  • Lead by example. Arrive prepared, partner with management, and help train and mentor new teachers while building a positive team culture.
  • Care for the studio. Maintain clean, organized teaching and shared spaces, restock retail products, and process purchases.
Who Will Thrive HereYou bring the presence of a performer and the patience of an early childhood educator. You can captivate a room with enthusiasm, be a little silly, and slow down to help a hesitant child feel comfortable joining in. Our ideal candidate brings:
  • A strong dance background; ballet training is strongly preferred.
  • A natural connection with young children and confidence communicating with caregivers.
  • High energy, creativity, musicality, and an expressive teaching style.
  • Reliability, preparation, and a commitment to a consistent weekly schedule.
  • Leadership potential, openness to feedback, and enthusiasm for helping other teachers grow.
  • Respect for a shared curriculum, with creativity in how it comes to life.
Experience teaching dance or working with young children is a plus; performance experience is welcome. Social media savvy is also welcome, especially an eye for sharing the studio’s joy while respecting school policies and family permissions.A Meaningful Role in a Growing SchoolWe take the magic and joy seriously. Beyond teaching ballet steps, you’ll help children build confidence, explore creativity, and take pride in trying something new. This role requires professionalism, commitment, and thoughtful care.
