Favorite Ballet Storytime Story
The Nutcracker—holiday magic + fighting a mouse king is hard to beat.
Favorite Ballet Step
Waltz turns! They have a lightness and flow to them that make you feel like you’re a feather floating along with the wind.
Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?
I love taking a magic wand and pretending to turn the kids into frogs for across-the-floor sautés. It’s a great way to keep them laughing, but also engaged and learning at the same time. Having something familiar and silly for them to visualize is a big help.
Favorite Thing About Teaching at Tutu School
Finding creative ways to help the kids learn! It’s so rewarding when an activity I plan really gets their attention and allows them to learn in a way that feels fun and exciting. The storytelling and theming aspect of class really sets Tutu School apart from other ballet studios.
