- What is your favorite Ballet Story from our curriculum?
- My favorite ballet story is Swan Lake. I love the choreography of the ballet; I think the swans are beautiful and iconic; and I love the duality of a ballerina playing Odette and Odile.
- Do you have a go-to step that you love to teach or perform?
- A go-to step I like are tippy toes! All ages get up on their toes, it’s a great foundational step. Whether is our Tutu Toddlers just learning to tip toe, or our Primary Prep students transitioning to bourrées, everyone does tippy toes!
- Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?
- I love playing with our fast and slow animals for animal dances. It’s a great way to easily understand how we move like an animal and still do our ballet. Whether it’s a slow turtle or a fast-buzzing bumble bee, it’s so fun to see the kids understand what it means to move like that animal.
- What makes Tutu School special to you?
- I think that our patient, loving, safe environment to explore music and movement is my favorite thing about Tutu School. I love sharing ballet in a way that makes kids have a healthy relationship with the art form and have fun while doing it!
