As summer begins to wind down and we get ready for a new season of twirling, we’re looking back at some of our favorite summer memories at Tutu School Long Beach in Bixby Knolls—including our magical summer camp in June!

Our studio was filled with dancing, creativity, ballet stories, and new friendships as our campers spent their days exploring the wonderful world of ballet together.

Discovering the Stories Behind Ballet

At Tutu School, we believe ballet becomes even more magical when children discover the stories, characters, and music behind the movement.

During summer camp, our dancers explored beloved ballet stories and used them as inspiration for imaginative play and dancing. Learning about the world of classical ballet gave our campers new ways to connect what they heard in a story with what they could create through movement.

And, naturally, there were plenty of opportunities to twirl!

Dancing, Crafts, and Creativity

Our summer camp days included lots of ballet and creative movement, giving dancers the opportunity to learn new things while expressing themselves and using their imaginations.

When little feet needed a break from dancing, campers enjoyed ballet-inspired crafts and creative activities. From creating something special to take home to bringing a favorite ballet story to life, there was always something new to explore.

Summer Camp Friendships

Some of the sweetest moments of camp happen between the activities.

Summer camp gives children more time together than a typical weekly class, creating wonderful opportunities to make new friends, build confidence, and feel even more connected to their Tutu School community.

Our dancers spent the week learning, creating, laughing, and dancing together—and making some very special summer memories along the way.

A Magical Summer in Bixby Knolls

As summer comes to an end, we’re so grateful to all the families who made our June camp at Tutu School Long Beach such a special one.

From ballet stories and crafts to dancing and new friendships, we loved spending part of the summer creating a little extra magic with our campers here in Bixby Knolls.
