The air is filled with the crisp scent of new beginnings. The hustle and bustle of back-to-school season is upon us, with fresh notebooks, sharpened pencils, and shiny new shoes. It’s a time of transition, not just for academics, but for finding balance and joy in the routine of life. As you settle into new schedules, there’s no better time to consider the power of an extracurricular activity—and for a child, few are as enchanting or beneficial as ballet.

Ballet is more than just graceful movements; it is a foundation for life. At Tutu School, we believe that dance is a gateway to confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. As a first extracurricular activity, it offers a gentle, non-competitive introduction to a structured environment. Our little dancers learn to listen to instructions, follow a sequence of steps, and cooperate with their peers, all while developing crucial physical skills. From improved coordination and balance to increased body awareness and strength, the benefits of ballet extend far beyond the studio. It teaches discipline, patience, and the joy of expressing oneself without words. For a young child, having a space to move freely and creatively after a long day of school can be a wonderful release and a perfect complement to their academic studies.

We are so proud to be a part of the local community, and our two studios—Tutu School Meridian and Tutu School Eagle—are built on the principle of community, first and foremost. We are committed to fostering a supportive and loving environment where every child feels seen, celebrated, and free to express their inner artist. We believe that dance is for everyone, regardless of experience or background, and our mission is to make ballet accessible, fun, and magical for children ages 6 months to 8 years old.

A Royal Recital: Tutu School Eagle Turns ONE!

Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday we first opened our doors and welcomed our very first dancer, but it’s true: Tutu School Eagle is officially turning one! To celebrate this momentous milestone and the start of our favorite season, we are throwing a party that combines our Back to Ballet welcome with our First-Year Anniversary.

You’re invited to our very special Royal Recital: Eagle Turns ONE & Back to Ballet Party!

When: Saturday, September 6, 3-5 PM

Where: Tutu School Eagle

We are making it a true royal affair and hosting a Coronation Celebration! Get ready for a magical surprise as we’ve partnered with the incredible Magical Princess Parties to bring a very special character to our celebration! Our little dancers will have a chance to meet, greet, and take photos with a real-life fairytale friend.

We have planned an afternoon of activities and joy for all to enjoy:

• Meet & Greet with our Special Character: A chance for all our dancers—and aspiring dancers!—to get their photos taken with a real-life princess.
• Back to Ballet Welcome: Everyone is going back to school, so we’re celebrating getting BACK TO BALLET with special giveaways for everyone in attendance.
• Sweet Treats & Refreshments: Enjoy coronation-themed snacks and drinks that are fit for royalty.
• 1-Year Anniversary Celebration: We’ll have a special moment to thank everyone who has been a part of our incredible first year. Your support, trust, and enthusiasm have made this year possible, and we are so grateful.

This event is open to the entire community—you do not need to be a member to attend. We simply ask that you RSVP to help us prepare for the festivities and ensure we have enough sweet treats and magical moments for everyone.

Twirl Back to School With Free Pirouette Playdates

As part of our commitment to the local community, Tutu School Eagle and Tutu School Meridian are thrilled to host a series of Free Pirouette Playdates throughout August and September. These playdates are the perfect way for your child to experience the joy of ballet in a fun, pressure-free environment. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for them to meet new friends and for you to connect with other local parents.

We believe in the power of collaboration and are so excited to partner with several incredible local mom groups to bring these special events to our community. Keep an eye on our social media pages, as we’ll be announcing more details and special giveaways in partnership with amazing local businesses like Stella’s Ice Cream of North Meridian! We believe that the best way to thrive is to support one another, and we are so proud to be a part of such a vibrant and interconnected network of local businesses and community groups.

These events are completely free and open to everyone—we simply ask that you RSVP so we can prepare for all the little twirlers.

Important Reminder!

As we prepare for the fall season and all the wonderful new things it will bring, we wanted to provide an important update regarding our monthly membership rates.

Tutu School will be slightly increasing our normal monthly membership rate for all new students beginning on Monday, September 1, 2025.

However, there is some very exciting news!

• The Great News: All currently enrolled students will not see any increase in their current tuition for as long as they remain continuously enrolled at Tutu School. Your loyalty is so important to us, and we are committed to honoring the rate you signed up with.
• More Great News: Any new or returning students who sign up for classes BEFORE Monday, September 1st, will also continue at our current, lower tuition rate for as long as they remain continuously enrolled!
