Our ballet birthday parties are designed to give little ones a celebration filled with movement, imagination, creativity, and plenty of twirling, while taking the pressure of planning and entertaining off parents. From the moment guests arrive until the last cupcake crumb disappears, your costumed Ballerina Birthday Party Leader will guide the celebration and keep the party flowing.

All you have to do is show up, take pictures, and enjoy watching the magic happen.

Tiaras, Tutus & Plenty of Twirling

Every Tutu School birthday party begins with a little transformation.

As guests arrive, they can dress up for dancing in tutus and capes before settling in to decorate their very own tiaras and crowns. Then it’s time for a special ballet class led by a ballerina and filled with movement games, creative play, and plenty of opportunities to dance together.

And because every birthday deserves a story, the celebration culminates in a performance of our special birthday ballet story — starring the guest of honor.

After all that dancing? It’s time for a cupcake picnic, followed by a special party favor for each guest to take a little bit of the celebration home.

It’s a complete party experience, thoughtfully planned from beginning to end.

Pick the Party That Fits Your Celebration

Families can begin by choosing from three party packages: Odette, Cinderella, and Sugar Plum.

Every party package includes:

• Dress-up in tutus and capes
• Crown decorating
• A ballet class with movement games and creative play
• A special birthday ballet story featuring the guest of honor
• A cupcake picnic
• Tutus and capes for guests to take home

Our Odette package includes all of the Tutu School party magic above, while Cinderella adds extra personalized touches, including invitations or thank-you notes and a birthday story keepsake.

For families dreaming of an even bigger celebration, our Sugar Plum package extends the party to two hours and adds even more activities, including wand making and a game of Pin the Tiara on the Ballerina.

From there, celebrations can be customized with additional time, cupcakes, guests, and other special touches.

A Little Local Sweetness

We love making our celebrations even sweeter by partnering with local businesses! For more than 11 years, our friends at The Cupcake Shoppe, just blocks away from Tutu School Raleigh, have been baking the cupcakes and sweet treats that top off our birthday parties.

Each guest of honor gets to choose a favorite cupcake flavor from an array of delicious options, with customizable frosting colors to make the celebration feel even more their own. Gluten-free options are available, too!

And apparently our dancers aren’t the only ones with a sweet tooth. Recently, Odette, our beloved ballet bunny, hopped over to The Cupcake Shoppe for a little treat of her own. See Odette’s sweet adventure here!

A Birthday Party Parents Can Enjoy, Too

One of our favorite descriptions of a Tutu School party actually came from a parent after a recent celebration:

“We just had my daughter’s birthday party at Tutu School and it was an amazing experience. This was the first party I got to relax and enjoy my daughter and others at the party. Tutu School thinks of everything and then some. They had personal touches for my daughter and she and her friends had so much fun! …This was by far the best birthday party I’ve had!”

That might be one of our favorite compliments a Tutu parent can give us.

Because while we certainly want children to leave talking about the dancing, crowns and cupcakes, we also want parents to leave with something pretty special: memories of actually being part of the celebration instead of managing it.

Make It Their Own

No two little dancers — or celebrations — are quite the same.

Some families keep things beautifully simple and let us take care of everything. Others dream of balloon arches, a favorite treat, additional goodies for the favor bags, or snacks and refreshments for the grown-ups.

We love working with families to add thoughtful details that make a celebration feel especially personal.

Want to make the day even more magical with a favorite princess, mermaid, or other special guest? Families are also welcome to coordinate with local character companies to add a visit to their celebration. Picture Perfect Princess has been a dream to work with when we host character events and we’re happy to connect our families. 

The party already has a little character magic built in, though… Every celebration is hosted by a costumed Ballerina who leads the children through their afternoon of dancing, storytelling, crafting, and play.

And although party packages are often used for birthdays, birthdays certainly aren’t the only thing worth celebrating!
