From the Desert to Tutu School Raleigh: What’s coming soon!
Recaps from our Tutu School Owner’s Summit, celebrating “Team Tutu,” and what’s next for Tutu School Raleigh
The annual Owners Summit recently took place sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, and inspiration was abound! The Summit is what our founder, Genevieve, calls her “love letter” to Tutu School owners—Her way of nurturing this brand and the teams that nurtures your children.

Our 3 days in the desert were packed with inspiring talks, exciting news & reveals (some included below!), and major upgrades.
But the days also held plenty of space for connection, brainstorming, and sharing challenges and wins with the many other owners all working to make space in the lives of children for confident creativity.

Oh… and of course, there were celebrations, swag, treats, dinners, dancing (naturally) and joy—lots of laughter & joy.
Our own owner, Lara, is one of only a few owners who have been in the Tutu-verse for 10+ years and gathering with owners on this journey—both seasoned and new—is invaluable for her to both learn and grow as well as support others with what she’s learned over the years too. Being able to watch the system grow, the curriculum evolve, and the shared commitment deepen, is so rewarding along this journey.

It all reinforced one core truth that we often say, and celebrate regularly:
Tutu People are the best people.
This year’s summit theme was: “Team Tutu” and much of the content centered on how we attract, nurture and build the very best teams. Because that is certainly what it takes!
We hear over and over that our families at Tutu School Raleigh truly adore their Tutu Teachers and that is because we really believe our team of teachers are second to none. (You can learn more about why, and what they adore about Tutu Teaching here too!)

This theme was perfectly timed, as just a few weeks ago our own Tutu School Raleigh team of ballet teachers met for a Fall staff gathering to connect and brainstorm how they can continue to enrich each family’s membership, show up with even more magic, and evolve the joyful experience created in each class at Tutu School Raleigh.
But, besides all the fuzzy feels, the Summit is also where exciting updates are announced—and there are a few sneak peeks that we’re so excited to share are coming to our sweet ballet school:
- Sensory Sensitive Ballet Classes are coming! We’re thrilled to be building out this dedicated support to welcome even more children into the joy of ballet at Tutu School Raleigh.
- New materials are in the works to support our Bilingual Ballet Classes, further enriching our curriculum.
- Refreshed Tutu Camp programming. A taste of which we’ll have to offer in November for our Thanksgiving Mini Day Camp! (Wednesday, November 26th, 9am-2pm)
- A fun one: Ballet Storytime Retail! If you’ve ever stepped into Tutu School Raleigh, you know and likely know and love our famous Wall of Tutus all based on a few of the stories in our Ballet Storytime curriculum. Well, those tutus are leaping off the walls and onto our racks in both sizes for our little dancers AND mini sizes for their favorite lovey (including our Tutu bunny lovely: Odette)!

We are SO excited to be rolling out all this magic to our Tutu School Raleigh families because continually fulfilling on enhancements to our program designed to ensure every dancer feels seen, celebrated, supported, and sparkly is our “love letter” to You—our Raleigh community!
When we say Tutu People are the best people, we are talking about You, too!
If you are “Tutu People” ready to leap into storybook adventures in ballet, sign up for a Free Trial class and see what makes a truly thoughtful introduction to ballet, music and movement so foundational for all children!
And if you’re already a parent, grandparent, or caregiver of a little dancer twirling with us and have a friend who is one of the “best people” and you feel like they could also be “Tutu people” share the magic with them! Word of mouth referrals are the highest honor to us and we gladly reward families that recommend Tutu School with $40 membership credits 😉
