Teacher Linda
Favorite Ballet Storytime Story
My favorite ballet story from Tutu School’s curriculum is The Nutcracker. It holds a special place in my heart since it is the ballet I grew up performing every year with a live orchestra. My favorite roles I performed were Snow Queen, Spanish Chocolate, and Arabian Coffee.
Favorite Ballet Step
My favorite step to perform is a lame-duck/step-up, but my favorite step to teach is a pique arabesque!
Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?
My animal inspiration changes depending on the dance, but I commonly draw on birds for faster variations or petite allegro.
Favorite Thing About Teaching at Tutu School
What makes Tutu School special to me is the feeling of magic when you enter the studio. There is comfort in dancing and teaching in a space that is inclusive and encourages imagination.
