Favorite Ballet Storytime Story

My favorite ballet story is Firebird, because it encourages us to be true to ourselves and celebrate what makes us unique and different.

Favorite Ballet Step

One step that I love to teach is grand jetes! It's so fun to practice leaping over puddles of sticky glitter glue left on the forest floor by silly fairies.

Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?

Lately I've been getting lots of inspiration from the octopus during animal dances - I love imagining what all 8 of my arms and legs would be doing if I was living underwater with them!

Favorite Thing About Teaching at Tutu School

Tutu School is special to me because it gives young people the space to explore the magic of movement as an outlet for self expression. Through imaginative play, kids are able to connect with characters, sounds, shapes, and movements that feel affirming to them. This is not only strengthening their relationships to their bodies and building autonomy, but also strengthening their ability to use their bodies as creative tools for communication.
