Like many parents, I was simply looking for an activity for my COVID baby as things were starting to open again. Structured, disciplined, and at times, intimidating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So when I stepped into that first Tutu School class with her, I immediately felt the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, ballet wasn\u2019t about being perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>building confidence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nurturing creativity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and allowing each child to blossom in their own time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I watched her light up in a way I hadn\u2019t expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She wasn\u2019t being corrected. She was being encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that changed everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When One Class Becomes a Calling<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u2019t just love the experience for my child\u2026 I believed in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So deeply that I knew I wanted to be part of sharing it with other families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within six months of attending that very first class, my husband and I opened Tutu School Shoreline in our neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It wasn\u2019t just a business decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A mission to create a space where children could experience ballet in a way that felt joyful, supportive, and full of wonder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Not Every Class Looked Like Magic<br><\/strong>And to be completely honest\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My daughter was often the child:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>gazing out the window, counting cars<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>holding tightly to a prop she wasn\u2019t quite ready to give back<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>feeling very strongly about wanting a specific color dot on the floor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>often deciding she wasn\u2019t going to do her solo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There were moments we left class early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moments that felt hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moments where I wondered if we should even keep coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yet\u2026 we did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because I knew Tutu School wasn\u2019t about getting it \u201cright.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s about giving children the space to show up exactly as they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even on the hard days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Especially on the hard days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Watching Confidence Bloom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, I\u2019ve had the incredible privilege of watching my daughter grow from the tiniest of twirlers to now a proud Primary Prep dancer at six years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has participated in eight ballet recitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you had seen her in those early days feeling unsure, hesitant, and sometimes overwhelmed, you would understand just how big that is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eight recitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And each one has been less about \u201cperforming\u201d and more about celebrating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celebrating bravery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celebrating growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celebrating the simple magic of stepping onto a stage and saying, \u201cI can do this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Bravo Bash recitals are intentionally designed to feel different with low pressure, joy, and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And I\u2019ve watched firsthand how that approach class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Magic Comes Home<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of my very favorite things?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watching the magic follow her home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She now teaches her little sister ballet in the living room by guiding her through steps, demonstrating movements, and encouraging her just like her teachers do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s the sweetest full-circle moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seeing her not just learn, but embody confidence, leadership, and kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(And if you ask me\u2026 she\u2019s already well on her way to becoming a Tutu Teacher someday!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>Why It Matters<\/strong><br><em>As a mom, I know matters most isn\u2019t whether our children become perfect dancers.<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s whether they:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>feel confident trying something new<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>feel safe expressing themselves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and feel proud of who they are<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s what Tutu School gave to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it\u2019s what we strive to give to every single dancer who walks through our doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>From My Family to Yours<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether your child is twirling across the room,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>hiding behind your leg\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>or simply watching from the sidelines\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a place for them here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because at Tutu School,
