A Magical Summer, Shared Moments, and What’s Next at Tutu School

What an unforgettable Summer of Twirling we’ve had at Tutu School! A huge thank you to all the amazing families who spent their summer dancing, dreaming, and creating magic with us. From tiptoeing through the treetops during Rainforest Adventure, to splashing into sunshine with our At the Beach week, to blasting off with capes and jetpacks in Super Space Hero, and fluttering among fairies in our Magical Garden, each themed week brought something whimsical and wonderful to life. Watching your kiddos explore new worlds with imagination and joy was truly the highlight of our season.

We ended summer with an especially exciting tradition—Bring a Friend Month! August was full of joyful energy as dancers welcomed their favorite people into class. Whether it was a school friend, cousin, neighbor, or sibling, we loved seeing our dancers share their love of twirling with someone special. The studio buzzed with new friendships, big smiles, and proud little hearts. To all the new families who joined us through Bring a Friend Month—welcome to Tutu School! We’re delighted to have you as part of our growing dance family.

As we transition into fall, we’re thrilled to announce something brand new: our very first Share Week, happening September 29th – October 5th! During this special week, the last five minutes of each class will be a performance moment for your dancer. They’ll have the chance to show a movement or short sequence they’ve been working on over the past few weeks—nothing too formal, just a fun and supportive way to share their progress with someone they love.

Each child is encouraged to invite someone who makes them feel proud—whether that’s a parent, grandparent, sibling, or friend. And they can dress in whatever makes them feel confident and excited: a favorite tutu, their superhero costume, or even comfy sweatpants. The focus is on celebrating your child’s growth and giving them the opportunity to experience what might be their first-ever performance.

Moments like Share Week are about so much more than dance steps. Performing—even in a small, familiar setting—helps build your child’s confidence and self-esteem, and gives them tools to express themselves with courage. It’s also a wonderful way to prepare for the next big stage moment coming up this season: Bravo Bash!

Bravo Bash is our signature, easygoing recital that brings all the sparkle of a performance with none of the pressure. Each class will prepare a full routine with their teacher, and dancers will perform on stage in costume, under the lights, in front of an audience of cheering family and friends. It’s a joyful celebration of all their hard work—and their love of dance. Our goal is to make it as simple and stress-free as possible for both dancers and their grown-ups.
