This month, we are delighted to shine our spotlight on Miss Aubrey, one of the incredible instructors who helps make Tutu School Tacoma such a special place.

From the moment she steps into the studio, Miss Aubrey brings warmth, joy, and creativity to every class. Her love for her dancers is clear as she meets each child exactly where they are, encouraging them to find confidence, grace, and delight in movement. Whether she is helping a tiny ballerina find her balance at the barre or leading an imaginative adventure through a make-believe enchanted forest, Aubrey makes every child feel seen, valued, and inspired.

When asked what brings her the most joy at Tutu School, Aubrey shared:

What brings me the most joy at Tutu School is the role we have in our kiddos’ lives. The bond we build with not only our students, but their families as well, is amazing.

That sense of connection is at the heart of everything she does. Aubrey contributes to our Tutu School community by being a true team player and finding joy in every part of her work. She is the first to ask, “How can I help?” and “What needs to be done?” When a teacher calls in sick, Aubrey is the first to offer to cover a class, event, or party. She goes above and beyond to provide stability for her students and her team.

I see myself contributing by always being a team player and truly enjoying what I do. This is such a special time in our little ones’ lives, and I love being able to connect with them in their world of magic and butterflies.

Working at Tutu School Tacoma gives teachers like Miss Aubrey the chance to share their love of dance in a nurturing, creative, and truly meaningful environment. Tutu School has helped me so much as a person and reminds me every day who we do it for. I used to be shy and uncertain, but now I feel like I have a purpose. This place heals my inner child, and I just hope I can bring that same happiness to others.

When she’s not teaching, you can find Aubrey spending quality time with her family and daughter, and if you know her well, you know they’re huge fans of boba tea!

Her advice for new teachers perfectly captures her kind and grounded spirit:

Take one day at a time, and always remember what’s most important, the kiddos’ happiness. Learn from your mistakes, keep trying, and never forget that the rewards are endless.
