Dancers twirl, pretend, explore, and discover what their bodies can do\u2014all while building confidence in a space that feels playful and welcoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of these moments are the teachers who bring them to life. This month, we\u2019re so excited to shine a spotlight on <strong>Teacher Nina<\/strong> and the warmth, creativity, and connection she brings to our studio each week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Nina\u2019s classes, learning and imagination go hand in hand. She describes her teaching style as <em>\u201cfun and structured,\u201d<\/em> creating a balance where dancers feel both supported and free to explore. She often invites dancers into the learning process, asking questions and encouraging them to think, respond, and take ownership of what they\u2019re discovering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>The moments in my class that bring me the most joy are when I get to see the students use their imagination and be silly, or when their face lights up when getting a move right after working hard for it.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/IMG_1615-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1471\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3333401151553377;width:568px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/IMG_1615-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/IMG_1615-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/IMG_1615-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/IMG_1615-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/IMG_1615-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>That sense of joy carries through to the end of each class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I hope my students feel a sense of pride and joy when leaving my class. I adore hearing, \u2018That class went by so fast!\u2019 because it means they truly enjoyed it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most special parts of Nina\u2019s teaching is the way she builds relationships with both dancers and their families. She especially loves working with younger dancers, where connection extends beyond the child and helps create a sense of trust and familiarity in the studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over time, those relationships help dancers truly come into their own.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>When students come back each week, I notice their confidence and comfort set in\u2026 it\u2019s really precious to see a student come in so shy and, in a few weeks, they are leading and encouraging the other students.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In Nina\u2019s classes, dancers don\u2019t just grow individually\u2014they grow together. Friendships begin to form, and students learn how to support and celebrate one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"262\" height=\"332\" src=\"https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/Image-9-2-25-at-8.31-AM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1474\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.789146703063962;width:400px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/Image-9-2-25-at-8.31-AM.jpeg 262w, https:\/\/tutuschool.com\/tacoma\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2026\/03\/Image-9-2-25-at-8.31-AM-237x300.jpeg 237w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 262px) 100vw, 262px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Her approach reflects something we value deeply at Tutu School: that learning can be both structured and joyful.
