The Magic Of Unlimited and Makeup Classes

At Tutu School, we pride ourselves in giving families multiple options for classes and offering flexibility when it comes to scheduling and attending classes. We know juggling schedules for families can be tricky, so we want to do our best to accommodate our Tutu School community the best we can, especially in the summer months. As things warm up, we completely understand wanting to take advantage of the warmer weather and ability to take time off with students being out of school. With our makeup classes, you can attend any other available class whenever you miss a day in your home class. These can be used at any time as long as your dancer is enrolled!

If you’re just looking for more activities to do with your students, our unlimited classes are a great option to squeeze in extra activities, especially for dancers that love to twirl. With ​multiple classes on the schedule for every level, students have the chance to dance in multiple classes per week. This is wonderful for families that have changing schedules in summer and may have more openings one week versus another. You don’t always have to attend the same amount of classes each week, just as many that you’re able and interested in. We want our families and students to be able to not only get the most ou​t of their memberships this summer, but also feel welcomed, engaged, and supported during a time of year where activity options can feel overwhelming or even limited.

Additionally, if you’re shopping for a new class to accommodate your upcoming fall schedule, taking advantage of unlimited classes helps you find what days and times works for you, your family, and your student. It’s a perfect way to see what times feel best to you​, so that you can secure ​your preference before the fall rush. Not only can you also see which days and times work best for you, but also which teachers. All of our instructors at Tutu School are pure magic-makers, but we understand when the right teacher just clicks with your child. By attending multiple classes, you get to meet more of our teachers, which makes attending makeup classes less scary for young dancers. ​We recommend all of our classes and teachers, but taking the time to find the right fit makes a world of difference!

The Benefits Of Staying With Us Through Summer

Twirling with us through summer looks different for everyone and that’s okay! We know families have travel, activities, and events planned during this busy time of year. When you stay with us at Tutu School, you not only accrue makeup classes to be used at any time while your dancer is enrolled if you miss classes, but you also secure your spot in classes that fill up fast. A lot of our weekend classes​, especially​, tend to fill up before and during fall, so staying with us in the summer means you have your dancer’s spot ready to go. When you’re already enrolled, you can attend classes at your leisure. If your schedule is packed and only a couple classes here or there during a month is all you can make, having your spot secured makes it easy for you to still come in and attend without the worry of losing it or waiting for availability.

If your schedule allows for more classes during the warmer months, staying enrolled gives you access to our unlimited classes, which expands your dancer’s dance knowledge! While our classes follow a similar structure and flow, each teacher is always going to be a little different and will introduce your student to new skills and ideas. The more ​that dancers attend, the more we see a foundation for dance being set and a love for movement fostered. With being able to practice more, technique becomes easier, concepts become more tangible, and connections start being made more frequently. We love to encourage and support a child’s interest and curiosity in dance, so with the option of more classes to attend, they get to explore as much ballet as they’d like.

With all the summer excitement still comes a lot of change as well with new schools, new activities, and new schedules as children get older, and we know how that can affect some of our youngest students. By continuing your classes at Tutu School, it helps create consistency for your little dancer. We’ve seen how helpful it is to have a routine for students and familiarity in their weeks. If children have a familiar place they always go to with familiar faces, it causes less disruptions for them and makes other changes feel less daunting. We really value supporting our young students this way, which is why our schedule is always ongoing and we ensure the same teachers twirl with their students for as long as possible. Change is tricky for anyone, but especially for those that are so little in a world that’s so big!
