Let’s Talk Tutu Teachers
If you have not had a chance to meet our amazing teachers here at Tutu School… here is an introduction to each of them!
Miss Sydney!
Sydney is from Austin. TX (where she spends her summers) and is currently a student at Texas Tech with a major in Kinesiology. She has been dancing for 14 years, still dancing with a group here in Lubbock (make sure to check out their next show!). She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and many others but here favorite is contemporary followed by ballet.
Dancing is a huge part of her life and she is excited to bring this to Tutu School for our youngest dancers.

Miss Michelle
Michelle comes to Tutu School from Costa Rica! She is currently at Texas Tech student who has studies pre-nursing (SPC) and is currently finishing her degree in psychology. She grew up dancing jazz, tap and ballet but her favorite style has to be tap. In her free time she is going on runs, cherishing moments with her family (you may have met some of them already!) and baking a ridiculous amount of desserts.
She is excited to bring her love of dance and children to our dancers here at Tutu School as well as bring our bilingual classes to our families of all backgrounds.

Miss Sam (Samara)
Samara or Sam for short, is from Houston, TX. She is currently a student at Texas Tech working towards a degree in Communication. She started dancing at a very young age just like many of our friends here. She loves to dance (of course), paint and spend time with family.
She cannot wait to bring her love and excitement of dance and creativity to all our little dancers!

Miss Emily
Emily is originally from Midland, TX but moved to Lubbock in 2019. She graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor’s in Theatre and a Minor in Dramatic Writing. When she is not working at Tutu School she can be found performing in plays/musicals around town, playing D&D or spending time with her partner and of course her pets (she has a pet rat!).
She is excited to bring her love of the stage and the confidence of performing to her dancers her at Tutu School!
