We are beginning our Community Spotlight series by introducing you to someone that you may know already, but surely one of our favorites, Cardinal Family Chiropractic.

Tell us about your business.

Hey y’all! My name is Dr. Lexi I own Cardinal Family Chiropractic! CFC is very much a family-based chiropractic office here in Lubbock, with a special focus on prenatal, postpartum, pediatric, and family care. I opened CFC to create a space where families could feel comfortable to come and laugh or cry, celebrate or grieve, to be cared for, and truly listened to in all seasons of life.

This practice is my baby and truly my dream come true. I’m originally from Lubbock and moved back home to be closer to family after having my daughter and losing my older brother, Jerome which is where the name Cardinal comes from, it is in honor of him; cardinals were his favorite bird before his passing and have become a little reminder of him as my forever role model & angel. 

How is your business unique?

CFC is truly a one-woman show! When you call, message, schedule, or come in for an appointment, it’s me.  I get to know my patients, their kiddos, their stories, and what’s actually going on in their lives.

My care is very individualized and gentle, especially with babies and kids. There’s never a one size fits all approach, and I want families to feel comfortable asking questions and genuinely feel at home when they walk through my door.

Tell us your favorite part of the Lubbock community?

The people & community. I grew up in Lubbock, and I can appreciate our community in a completely different way now that I’m raising my own daughter here.

I love raising her in a community where people genuinely show up for one another. There are so many amazing families and small businesses here, and I love that we get to support each other and know there’s always a helping, loving hand when we need one.

What are some of the Lubbock businesses you like to support?

I love supporting local whenever I can! A few favorites are Mo’s Markets & Productions, Wild Wings Organic, Recharged Massage, Lit Brews, and of course Tutu School has become a very special part of our world too. 

As a small business owner myself, I know just how much it means when someone chooses local.

In what ways are you giving back to your community?

A lot of it for me is giving my all to show up for families beyond the walls of the office. I have such a heart for our pregnant and postpartum community, and I love being able to support my families through those seasons. Whether that means participating in a meal train, going to a birth when I’m able at no additional charge, or just being someone they know they can reach out to for a little extra support and love. 

Throughout the year, I offer special pricing for different groups in our community, as a small way to give back and show some extra appreciation and whenever I can, I try to put my own business dollars right back into our community by choosing other local small businesses for our needs. I really believe a strong community comes from taking care of and supporting each other however we’re able.
