Grace Garrett
Grace Garrett (she/her/hers) is a Montana native and holds a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. While at Cornish, she performed in works by a range of choreographers, including Beth Terwiliger, Alana Isiguen, Wade Madsen, and Amy J Lambert. Grace spent her summers dancing with Colorado Springs Ballet Society and Denver Ballet, enriching her training and artistry.
Grace’s passion for teaching began early: she started by enthusiastically instructing (and perhaps bossing around) her younger sister, sharing everything she learned in her own dance classes. At just 12 years old, she began teaching her own classes at her dance studio she grew up at, discovering a love for instruction that has only deepened over time. During her college years, her favorite courses included notable Teaching Methods and Creative Dance Movement Teaching Methods, which shaped her pedagogical approach. Since summer 2021, Grace has been teaching at Tutu School Seattle and Bellevue, where she particularly enjoys working with the youngest dancers. Over the past year, she has been able to continue working with Tutu School remotely while traveling to Sayulita, Mexico, in pursuit of her dance career. She has been thrilled to support dancers and teachers through programs like Twirling Without Limits, Summer of Twirling, summer camps, Rainbow Week, Nutcracker Week, and Share Week across several schools in WA, CA, and CO, and looks forward to creating more enriching experiences for the dance community!
