Meet our team
Ariana Chavez
- What is your favorite Ballet Story from our curriculum?
- My favorite ballet story is the Nutcracker! I love acting out the little scenes and encouraging the dancers to use their creativity to move like different characters.
- Do you have a go-to step that you love to teach or perform?
- Pas de chat is such a fun step to teach! It looks difficult, but with patience, a little creativity and encouragement, it is so satisfying to see our dancers tackle a new step!
- Do you have a go-to animal for inspiration during Animal Dances?
- Bunnies are always an animal that gets kids excited. We love to imagine we are transforming into bunnies by remembering our fluffy bunny tails, long floppy ears and strong rabbit feet as we saute around the room!
- What makes Tutu School special to you?
- Aside from teaching the magic of ballet, Tutu School is a space where I can bring in creative ideas to ballet, which makes it approachable to young and new dancers! The way our curriculum is designed allows me as a teacher to foster an environment where real confidence can be built within each dancer, no matter the age!
